Fed: Mobil announces compo package
Mobil still faces a battle in the courts despite providing $15 million today to help
out the thousands of light aircraft owners affected by the fuel contamination crisis.
The fund will provide up to $10,000 per aircraft grounded earlier this month because
of the so-called dirty fuel supplied by Mobil's Yarraville depot in Melbourne.
Mobil fuels marketing director PAUL WHERRY says the company is also establishing a
scheme to address the business losses from the contamination issue.
