Fed: Home owners still looking for rate cuts
CANBERRA, Jan 18 AAP - Home mortgage-holders had increasing expectations their repayments
would fall, with economists predicting an interest rate cut despite the release today
of a mixed bag of economic data.
While home-owners were guarding hopes of more disposable income, those savings could
be eaten up by renewed increases in fuel prices.
Cuts to oil production announced by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries
would likely mean a rise in petrol prices.
