Fed: Jobless rate stuck at 14-year lows in November = 2

Employment Minister KEVIN ANDREWS says the figures reflect Australia's strong jobs market.

And he says the jobless rate could go even lower if the Senate passes the government's
industrial relations changes.

Mr ANDREWS says it's been 22 years since the jobless rate was below 5.6 per cent, and
the outlook is good.





Treasurer PETER COSTELLO will hold a media conference to comment on the figures at
12.15 pm (AEDT) in Canberra.
